What data we process
Account: name, email, preferred language, login credentials and authentication records (kept in the identity service). Learning: enrolments, progress, submissions and completion records. Contact and interest: name, email, message, topics of interest and consents, with date and time. Technical: IP address in hashed form and user agent for abuse protection, plus server access logs with limited retention.
Purposes and legal bases
Providing the requested service (performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps), replying to messages (legitimate interest or consent), sending course notices and the newsletter (specific consent, separate for each purpose, revocable at any time), complying with legal obligations and ensuring platform security (legitimate interest).
Your rights
Confirmation of processing, access, rectification, anonymisation, portability, erasure, information on sharing and withdrawal of consent. In your account you can export the data held by the website and request deletion; the login identity can be deleted by the data subject in the account console. Requests can also be sent to contato@animalcare.global.
Sharing and transfer
We do not sell personal data. Infrastructure services run on our own server. Illustrative image generation uses an external provider, to which no user personal data is sent. No user data is transferred to third parties for advertising.
Retention
Account data: while the account exists and for the period required by legal obligations. Contact messages: up to 24 months. Unconfirmed interest registrations: 30 days. Technical logs: up to 90 days. Completion records: preserved as historical fact under the credentials policy.
Security
Initial language by region: when the site is opened without a chosen language, the country of access is estimated from the IP address using the DB-IP Country Lite database (IP Geolocation by DB-IP, CC BY 4.0 licence), only to pick the language. The address is not stored and the choice can be changed at any time in the language selector.
Portal audience measurement and announcements: pages load a first-party module (FENDA, on the same domain) that records visits with a random session identifier kept in the browser, with no personal data and no third parties. The announcements shown are only for Animal Care Education content and services.
Encrypted communication (HTTPS), mandatory two-step verification for administrative roles, role-based access control, encrypted backups and logging of administrative changes.
