Editorial policy

Nothing invented. Literal headlines. Verifiable, cross-checked sources, with attribution of consensus and divergence. No promise the service cannot support. Sober style. Clear separation between news, analysis, study summary, identified opinion, official statement and educational content.

Target of three pertinent sources per story, without counting republications as independent. An official act may have a single source, declared as such. Search results, automatically generated summaries and the mere existence of a DOI are not proof; we read the material that supports the claim and flag when only the abstract was accessible. For legislation, we state jurisdiction and stage (bill, approval, enactment, publication, entry into force, regulation). For science, we distinguish studies, reviews, consensus statements and preprints, and check retractions where possible.

Three distinct records, displayed on every story: automated verification (form, sources and links; it does not attest truth), editorial review (a member of the team) and technical review (identified professional, mandatory for content recommending clinical conduct or interpreting legal obligations). Without an available technical reviewer, the text remains a complete, flagged draft and is not published.

Each story is published only when the Portuguese, Spanish and English versions are complete, with the same sources and claims. Official titles and quotations remain in the original language, with identified translation.

Source collection, deduplication and form checks are automated. Writing may be assisted by language tools, always from material that was read and under recorded human review. The origin of production is declared on each story. No human-audit badge is displayed on the basis of an automated result alone.

Errors are corrected with a dated note on the story itself. Changes that alter a recommendation, a figure or an interpretation receive an explicit record; the history is not erased. Each published version carries an integrity hash, which proves the record, not the truth of the fact.
